Join Us at Oak Bank
Once you’ve decided to make Oak Bank your new banking home, let us take it from there. We make switching banks easy for you! Simply contact a Personal Banking Specialist and we will help walk you through the process.
If you prefer to switch your accounts on your own, follow these four steps:
1) Open your new account with Oak Bank – Fill out a New Account Application Form and include photocopies of your driver’s license or other form of ID so that we may accurately identify you and any joint account holder.
2) Update direct deposits – Fill out a Direct Deposit Update Form for each direct deposit you have set up and submit a copy to the paying party, keeping a copy for your files.
3) Update automatic payments – Fill out an Automatic Payment Update Form and submit a copy to each payee, keeping a copy for your files.
4) Close your old bank account(s) – Bring an Account Closing Form to your old bank to close your account. Keep a copy of the form for your records and any other documentation pertaining to your account closing.
