This position is responsible for acquiring, expanding, and enriching client relationships, while providing service in an exceptional manner.  You will educate clients about their financial choices, as a trusted advisor. The person in this position must have deep knowledge of financial services and products, including all deposit accounts and all electronic banking products.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Consistently educates clients about their financial choices by understanding needs and recommending appropriate financial products and services.
  • Provides consistent follow through.
  • Takes responsibility for retaining client relationships.
  • Educates clients about self-service options, such as Internet Banking and Bill Pay services.
  • Embraces change by anticipating and supporting corporate strategies and goals.
  • Maintains a high degree of knowledge in all bank programs, ensuring quality service and accuracy is delivered to all clients.
  • Meets expected service levels for availability, wait time and accuracy.
  • Consistently demonstrates all expected service and sales behaviors.
  • Provides deposit account and consumer loan services to clients.
  • Exhibits regular and predictable attendance.
 

Education and/or Experience:

  • At least 3 years of prior client service and sales experience in a professional setting.
  • Previous retail financial sales experience preferred.
  • Lending experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of fundamental demand deposit, savings and certificates concepts and practices.
  • Ability to interpret savings instruments policies and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to include strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional client service skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, accuracy, and problem-solving skills in a strong client service environment.
  • Excellent work record for attendance.
  • Proficient at Microsoft programs and banking software.

Mortgage Loan Originator - Currently no openings


It all starts with you. Oak Bank is looking for a motivated, self-starting professional to join our team as a Mortgage Loan Originator. In this role you will work with a variety of sources including Realtors, builders, and financial professionals to maintain relationships that result in a steady flow of loan volume. In short, you will be the lifeblood of our mortgage business—flooding our pipeline with leads that will turn into closings.


Job Description

  • Originates permanent conventional and new construction mortgage loans and participates in related business development activities.
  • Provides service to clients and prospective clients seeking residential mortgage loans.  
  • Solicits residential first mortgages through contact with realtors, builders, developers and housing organizations.  
  • Keeps informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market and mortgage industry. 
  • Calls on potential clients to develop new business both in person and over the telephone.
  • Represents the Bank in various civic community functions to further enhance its image and develop or promote additional business relationships.
  • Performs / creates additional business development activities to increase sales and leads.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of company goals and objectives in regard to client satisfaction 
  • Experience handling multiple projects within required time constraints
  • Strong sales referral aptitude 
  • Strong research and problem solving ability

Private Banker - Currently no openings


Oak Bank is looking for someone who can:

  • Solicit new banking relationships from executives, professionals, shareholders and small business owners in Oak Bank’s defined market.
  • Develop client relationships through regular, scheduled client contacts.
  • Prepare call activity reports for bank management.
  • Work cooperatively with other business development staff to coordinate efforts and refer clients to appropriate departments.
  • Present loan requests to the Loan Committee when dollar value exceeds established authority.
  • Prepare lending activity reports for bank management.
  • Counsels clients regarding the advantages and disadvantages of various credit facilities, investments, business management and other financial matters.
  • Keeps abreast of local, state and national economic, financial, political and legislative developments, which may have an impact on client and bank financial activities.
    Cooperates with the bank’s budgeting process.

  • Maintains accurate and precise records of client contacts.
  • Complies with bank lending, operating and compliance policies.
